LAUSD Adult Education's Lorenzo: "Learning English and Spanish Saved my life"
Knowing only his indigenous language when he arrived to the US ten years ago, he was homeless and lived under a bridge...learning English enabled him to get a job and, subsequently, the resources to provide for himself, get off the street, and live in a house.
