Readings were from voices of the people's struggle from a selection of people including Susan B. Anthony, John Brown, Frederick Douglass, Sojourner Truth, Tecumseh, Mark Twain, Cindy Sheehan and many more.

McCain Fights Bush's Culture of Torture

Maybe because he is a real veteran and not a daddy-git-me-in-the-Texas-Air-Guard over-privileged draft dodger. Maybe because he served his time in the military instead of being AWOL to work on his father's senatorial campaign. Maybe because he was a POW during the last major U.S. ruling class imperial action. Whatever it is, John McCain has amended a bill to end the policy of torture that has gone unabated since this administration began. The coward in chief has threatened to veto it. Guess McCain doesn't understand the Culture of Torture the neocons have worked so hard to bring us.
